What we do
Expert support for the business of running your clinic.
BestPractices helps owners and their teams find reliable information, create useful documents, and get more out of the documents they already have.
Ask BestPractices
Ask operational questions in plain language.
Bring your questions about employment, regulation, billing, marketing, and practice operations. The assistant uses a curated knowledge base built for Ontario dental clinics, combining resources reviewed by our team with curated materials from reliable sources. For up-to-date information, the assistant can also research public sources in real time. Answers include citations and links so you can review the guidance and ask follow-up questions.
From question to action
Preparing to onboard a new team member?
Start with: "What should we cover when onboarding a new dental assistant at our practice?"
Explore the requirements and key considerations, then ask BestPractices to help turn them into an onboarding checklist you can review and adapt for your office.
More questions you can ask
- What should we consider when a team member requests a leave of absence?
- Where can I find the billing guidance for an unfamiliar procedure?
- What should we review when updating our IPAC policies?
- Can you help draft a professional response to an online review?
Ask follow-up questions until you have what you need.
Resources ready to use
Create and adapt the documents your practice needs.
Access policies, procedures, playbooks, consent templates, letters, and forms created by experts for you. Use them as a starting point, adapt them with the AI assistant, and export drafts to Word or PDF for review and completion.
Examples
- Manuals, including IPAC, privacy, radiation safety, and team handbooks
- Self-audit tools that help identify gaps and prioritize improvements
- Onboarding checklists and employment-related letters
- Informed consent templates, referral letters, patient communications, office forms, and more
First-draft translations
BestPractices can create first-draft translations of forms, letters, and other communications. Have a qualified translator review any translation where accuracy is critical.
Your documents
Use the information your practice already has.
Upload your office policies, procedures, equipment instructions, safety data sheets, and other business documents, then ask questions about what's in them. Find a specific instruction, check a policy, or bring information together for an everyday task.
The more complete your library, the more useful the answers. Start with the documents you use most, including safety data sheets (SDS) and manufacturers' instructions for use (IFUs), and update them as equipment, products, and policies change.
During onboarding, we'll help set you up for success.
From question to action
"Please create an annual and quarterly preventive maintenance schedule for all the major equipment in my clinic."
Use your uploaded equipment instructions to help build a draft schedule, then review it against the manufacturers' requirements before putting it into practice.
The document library is for operational and business information. Keep personal health information in your practice management system (PMS).

Practice sale and transition
Thinking about selling, now or down the road?
We have the experience and professional network to help you prepare when the time is right. We can help you strengthen operations ahead of a sale, review offers and letters of intent, support negotiations, and connect you with trusted brokers and other advisors. The scope of this work is agreed separately for each practice.
Start with a conversation. Build from there.
